It’s a great line, I can just imagine you saying it too. I don’t know if I posted about my porn workshop…maybe. I work as a reseacher at Newcastle uni and one of the sociologists there is doing a paper on the effects that pornography has had on the construction of sexuality, ‘sexiness’ and our relationships as well as discovering what exactly it is about watching other people ‘get it on’ that some people find a ‘turn on’ and whether this differs between men and women and if so, why?. It’s facinating really. My poor mum almost had a heart attack, I had to explain that reseaching the effects of porn didn’t actually involve extensive viewing of porn!! 😆 But nevertheless as you can expect the jokes amongst my friends have not stopped.

Really? Can I interview you about how much gooderer it is to be olderer?? I don’t know how much ‘everyday person information’ (my term) that the academic will need but I will find out, be great to chat to you about it if possible, the general concensus so far from my tentative enquiries is that external signs of ageing should be avoided at all costs, and of boy are there costs. Sounds like the ageing one will be fun too. I totally have the best job in the whole world! 😀 I hope you weren’t joking about that because now the idea is in my head your not going to have much of a choice now, shouldn’t mess with a woman on a mission, right Adam? 😆

Thanks, I’d like to read it. The study has totally left out GLBTIQ people so I don’t think I could use it for the study but it would be interesting. The phenomenon you are referring to have have come across extensivly, one author claims it’s like a drug, and you need higher and higher (or in this case, dirtier and dirtier) material to acheive the same result. It stands to reason then that at some point your in the flesh partner isn’t going to be able to do te job. It’s really sad actually.

Can I complie a set of questions for you about ageing and send them to you in a few weeks? That way you would have all the time you want to answer them and there is no rush. Also, if you were actually only kidding I understand, age can be a sensitive topic with some and my slly jokes probably didn’t help. 🙄
