Interesting report.

NOTE> this is the ordinary “Open” Brethren (sort of conservative Baptists) .. .. .. NOT the Exclusive Brethren who have notority for attempts to influence politics – even ‘though refusing to vote.

Thanks forestgrey.

That’s amazing and fantastic. A sign of times a-changing at last.

On the other hand, I can understand from the brethren’s view why they might not want LGBT to use their venue. I mean, if I really believed that gay people were truly evil (as I’m sure they do), I wouldn’t be wanting them to use my facilities either. I realise that for some people, it’s perhaps not even about hate but taking a stand and trying to do the right thing, albeit in a misguided way. That doesn’t make their actions any less hurtful however.

I wonder then if that means they have to accept other groups as well?

Blessings,

Ann Maree
