I just recently finished reading the revised and expanded edition of Jesus, the Bible, and Homosexuality: Explode the Myths, Heal the Church by Jack Rogers, published in 2009. The focus is on the debate within the PC(USA), but I think it is a helpful read for all Christians, especially the sections on biblical interpretation. This edition also includes a study guide for groups.

Bulletproof Faith is excellent, as it contains a lot of practical steps to maintain a deep level of spirituality.

Blessings to all…

I also like the chapter in “What’s so Amazing About Grace?” by Phillip Yancy that looks at homosexuality…something about ‘grace-healed eyes’ maybe…I forget. But I think it’s worth reading because it’s written by a conservative Christian who is empathic. It gives a balanced approach, I think, and sets the groundwork for understanding between the two “sides” of the debate. With so many bloody books on this topic this chapter is “different” and I like that.
