I thought it went well. Agree with you Matt. The longer Peter kept talking the bigger the whole he dug for himself. I spoke on aversion therapy, but would have really liked to have said a lot more. It really is an independent test that proves if a person is gay or not. They don’t do the electricity “punishments” any more, thank heavens.

AVB did very well. As one who has never been to a Mardi Gras, one of the best things about the Freedom 2(b)e group is the way they dress. Unfortunately the way most of the rest dress in the event tends to reinforce the views of many of what a homosexual person is like.

However I thought Glenn, the compere was very good. How attitudes change when people know someone who is gay. It reinforces the need for more gays to come out.

From my experience as a first timer at MG last year I would suggest that most people in the parade dress modestly. It is the media that takes shots of those with few clothes on etc.

And on that topic it is christian culture that has put such boundaries on dress etc. But I will not comment anymore on that.

How bizarre, Anthony! :~ Looks like the ‘little green monster of jealousy was rearing its head’ is all I get from the comments from the ‘gay activist’. 😀 😀 😀

because there are people out there with huge issues…….and things we do trigger them……and they then project their issues on to another who represents the pain.

Yes very true. And even with those who are supposedly on the same ‘side’.

Ah, yes .. .. .. “projected anger”. Causes so many problems in this world – mainly when it is not recognized for what it is and the arguement gets escalated.

Like when we walked out of an argument and slammed the door – i.e., projected our anger onto the door.

I have discovered (including via my on responses) that much projected anger is because we are really angry at ourselves – both either don’t recognize it or won’t acknowledge it.

It happens individually AND corporately.

Sadly, people in leadership (e.g., CEOs, Premiers, Lord Mayors) and other high-profile roles (like a certain ‘gay ambassador we all know) become the ‘lightening rods’ for much projected anger. Means they have to have a ‘thick skin’, and also a supportive network around them.

We need to all support AVB in this respect.

Hi avb

I’ve moved this post from telling our stories to here to keep this together with the topic and so others see it.

http://maddensaysorry.blogspot.com/ & http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/pages/Should-Peter-Madden-Say-Sorry/148387358555637 have been disappointingly slow

Querido Anthony,

Like my mother used to say, “Un imbecile puede hablar por una hora y su ideas no valoran ni un segundo,” (“A fool can speak for an hour and yet his ideas will still not be valuable enough to fill even a second”).

It’s as if Madden hasn’t even bothered to study the scriptures. His exegesis was pitiful and his rhetoric has no basis in Christian thought.

It was…disgusting to watch. I’m sorry you had to endure such tripe Mr. Brown.

Not to mention that mean spirited soul who sent you that vicious e-mail. What in the world was their problem (other than a malfunctioning caps lock) ?

In such a world, I pray for strength for all of us.

Yours in Christ,

Raul

Querido oooooooooooooooooooo,

And on that topic it is christian culture that has put such boundaries on dress etc. But I will not comment anymore on that.

Considering that such boundaries on dress and behavior have existed before the rise of the Abrahamic faiths, have endured in cultures that had no Christian exposure (China since at least the Qin Dynasty, Japan since at least the Nara period, India since at least the rise of the Maurya Empire, the ancient Romans who were VERY strict about dress codes and behavior to the point of executing people who were seen as ‘exposing’ themselves, etc) and still do in even extremely secular cultures? I’d say that statement is quite inaccurate. 😉

Yours in Christ,

Raul
