Dr. Wesley Hill is american and the author of Washed and Waiting: http://www.bookdepository.com/Washed-Waiting-Wesley-Hill/9780310330035

The Village Anglican Church in Annandale is the venue for a conference featuring Wesley Hill. Whatever you may think of his belief that gay christians should be celibate, I think it is positive that a christian who is openly gay and not advocating any sort of orientation change will be speaking.

This conference has been advertised in the February issue of 'Southern Cross' magazine. Please join me in praying that the people who attend will listen, learn and be transformed. Nothing like this ever happened in the 10 years I was part of the Sydney Anglican diocese.

Here's a report of the conference with various links.

Thats an interesting read.

I know a few Celibate Gay Christians that I deeply respect – but the ones I know all recognise its not a path that all can follow ( indeed Paul says "I wish that all were as I myself am. But each has his own gift from God, one of one kind and one of another")

However as you say – its good that such conversations are happening.

And Movement is happening http://www.freedom2b.org/forums/presbyterians-approve-gay-marriage-in-church-constitution-t2406/

I think the first half of the video in particular is something most people should see. Having been in the situation, I know most of us straight people absolutely don't recognise that there are already LGBT people in church. I mostly wouldn't recognise them elsewhere either, to be honest! 🙂
