So much has been said in the media, on Facebook, by politicians and by members of the Christian Church recently about Civil Unions and other changes since the QLD State Election in March 2012 – “the most significant rollback of gay and lesbian rights by a government in the Western world, ever.” (crikey)
With all this discussion amongst so many people, and with so many emotions being expressed, it is only natural for it to be overwhelming for us, and leave us wondering what else?
Where to from now? How will this affect me?
Many are feeling angry, depressed, scared, hopeless, frustrated, or tired. LGBT people from Christian backgrounds, in particular, are facing increased hostility from many angles. So with all this happening, a lot of real people are getting caught in the crossfire.
Come along for an open and frank discussion about how this affects us and how we can support each other.
When: the 13th of July at 7pm – 9pm. Then social time afterwards.
Where: The training room, ground floor of the healthy community building, 30 Helen St, Teneriffe (Newstead on some maps).

- 20 minute walk from either Fortitude Valley or Bowen Hills train stations. The City Glider BUZ route will take you from West End, South Bank, the CDB, or the valley station to Teneriffe wharf. Runs every 5 minutes.
