With recent progress for equality being made overseas, society is becoming more and more affirming when someone decides to come out as LGBTI. There is growing belief that as more gay and lesbian people decide to come out, opposition against them becomes harder.
Those who have yet to make that step usually face a difficult choice. Should I come out at work? Or to family? Or to friends at church? And what will their response be?
At our next meeting, we’ll be talking about whether to come out or not as well as hear from those who have been through the process of revealing their orientation to those closest to them. Bound to be an interesting night, and we look forward to seeing you there.
