Guest Speaker Wayne Chilver
Coming up at our next Sydney chapter meeting, we are pleased to have Wayne Chilver as our special guest speaker. In his talk Wayne will discuss the implications of simply being liked for our faith and our relationships.
Working as a counselor for Relationships Australia, Wayne was raised as a preacher’s kid in Western Sydney hailing from a small Wesleyan congregation.
After being married and having three children, he began the process of reconciling faith & sexuality after hearing a radio broadcast by French philosopher René Girard, and over a period of time decided to come out.
His journey led him to meet gay Catholic theologian James Alison, who is the inspiration for his talk next month which will help us see that God not only loves us, but likes us which give us the freedom to become who we have always been.
Following the talk, there will be an opportunity for Q&A on any relationship questions you may have always wanted answers to.
Bound to be a wonderful night and not to be missed!
