In our ever-changing world of online networking, many of the ways we look for a lasting relationship has changed. There was once a time we used to summon up the courage to ask someone out after either meeting them at a party or during class or exchanging glances across a crowded room.
These days, online dating has taken much of that effort away, but is it really a better way to find that special someone? And for those of us, who are not yet open about our sexuality, is online dating our only option without risking unwanted exposure?
For our meeting in July, we’ll be discussing the ways that we approach romance in the 21st century as LGBTI people from Christian backgrounds. How can gay and lesbian Christians negotiate the Bible’s teachings with online dating and sex? How can those from Christian backgrounds develop healthy sexual ethics?
As part of the discussion, you’ll hear from a number of freedom2b couples that met online. What worked? What didn’t work and what would they have done differently?
