For our May meeting, we will be hearing from Sam Grebert who will speak on “The Power of Your Journey”.
Many of us know Sam as a regular attendee of f2b but very few know about his story. Sam grew up in Country NSW and was part of Pentecostal churches from a young age. He was involved in The Salvation Army, Four Square and the Assemblies of God where he became the Youth Pastor. Sam planted his first church at the age of 19. When he was 21, Sam made the brave decision to come out as gay which resulted in him losing his church and moving to Sydney. Sam tried out the ‘gay scene’ but after a little while he felt called back in to ministry work…but this time as a openly gay man.
Sam is now the founding Pastor of New Covenant Sydney and speaks regularly at Christian Conferences in Australia and overseas in places such as the United States and South Africa.
Come along and hear Sam’s story and join in the discussion about the power of our journeys and telling our stories. It will be a great night!
