There has been a ton of debate recently by politicians and members of the church about the many issues still standing in the way of equal rights for the LGBTI community. With all of this discussion and so many emotions being expressed, it’s only natural for some of us to be left feeling overwhelmed and wondering what’s next?
Many are left feeling angry, depressed, scared, hopeless, frustrated, or tired. LGBTI people from Christian backgrounds, in particular, are facing increased hostility from many angles. So with all this happening, real people are getting caught in the crossfire.
Come along for an open and frank discussion about how this affects us and how we can support each other.
WHEN: Friday, October 5th 2012
TIME: 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start
WHERE: ACON Building, 414 Elizabeth Street, Surry Hills
Following the discussion, you are welcome to come for a drink or dinner at the nearby Royal Exhibition Hotel. STAY AS LITTLE OR AS LONG AS YOU LIKE. Everyone is welcome.
