I was actually gob-smacked when Peter said there was no positive feedback and he couldn’t even read some of the mails on air


I was going to mail but didn’t thinking there would be positive feedback…duh!


i am now thinking of mailing saying much along the same lines as what has been said here.


If what Peter said is true then times really haven’t changed and just confirms why people do not “come out”


Surely there was some positive feedback I can’t believe there wasn’t 😕

yep……of course there was positive feeback. I was cc’d on some of the emails.


Was the homophobes who were incensed and so emailed.


or were people really encouraged by it…….did they email.


I have an ex-preacher friend of mine who watched it with his typical homophobic brother and father. He waited till the end to see what comment they would make. there was silence for a while…….then they both said…..your mates ok. He said he’d never heard them speak about a gay man like that before.


so what was that all about portraying that everyone thought we were a pack of wooses and weasels.


So we know two people at least it had a postive impact on…..and shifted them a bit.

Sure some stories you wouldn’t expect to have much positive feedback because the stories are like that but I thought this one was positive sure you’d expect some negative feedback with something like that but why didn’t Peter read any positive feedback ? That’s what I can’t understand

Maybe Peter is in the closet himself (sorry thats naughty) or 60mins is bowing down to some pressure from somewhere, as in the station itself getting flack from somewhere, maybe the table spice group or something wink ……..Got me stuffed what the problem was, I’d approach a current affair (ch 10?) to look into it, now this could make for headline news wink ( oh yeh shock Im meant to be on a break lol shhhhh Mags!!!)

Today Tonight is Channel 7

10 doesn’t have a current affairs/ after the news show

I’m just glad everyone is as puzzled as I am, at least I know it isn’t me! 😕

Yes it was and so was the conversation we were having in the chat room as well, Tony I don’t think you could see that bit, but the people logged in had a separate section just under your chat where we were chatting too while we were waiting for you to answer questions


I simply do not understand it either

No you are right ………I wasn’t actually in front of my computer for the webchat…..I was on the phone being given each question one at a time and the answers were typed while I dictated them….clever eh.


Hannah, my daughter was in the other room……..it was pretty busy from what i heard.
