It will be interesting to see which post in longer. The original one or my questions about it? lol. Hey has anyone heard from Anthony? maybe he is on holidays or something, done a bit of a disappearing act…

Anthony absolutely does watch the forums but is also a busy man as we know. He has always stressed in his replies that he doesnt have all the answers and by answering some of the questions that are put to him, anyone could misconstrue his reply, being the co-convener of F2b im sure he would exercise a stack of wisdom in knowing what to respond to on the site and what to let lie. I do hope that anything that he has replied to anyone in person, before it is quoted on the site has had his approval. No not aiming this at you Sandy LOL ( Ive been meaning to say this before about some other things) its just something I would like to mention relating to anyone on the site even our own friends (meaning that before they release anything about us on the site they ask if its ok)…….is that fair everyone??? )

Too many years in research has taught me that generally people don’t like to be quoted (if the quote is in context) because a) they have revised their opinion or b) what they said was obviosuly wrong. I don’t think Anthomy believes himself to fall into eaither of these catagories so I really don’t see the problem. As Rob has shown us people can say some pretty crazy things that are later proven wrong.

I will say this, if I say something to someone in private then I expect them to respect that privacy between me and themselves and not have them flash what I told them everywhere. Its called confidentiallity, if I want something to be known in public then I will say it out in the open.

Anthony’s delay in response could be for a number of reasons and before we all jump to conclusions and impatience LOL as to why he hasnt responded, lets not blow the planktons out of the water wink Demanding answers instantly never got anyone, anywhere….lets chill a bit hey 8)

Sorry, I’m a child of the era of instant gratification. If I can get a car, a pizza and sixty television channels at the snap of a finger then I sometimes have trouble understanding why other things dont work the same way. Maybe everyone is too busy watching Tv and driving to Pizza Hut! 😆 Ok sorry, maybe not the best tme for ill placed humor.

Point taken Mags, my chill pills are currently working their way into my blood stream and I will in future no longer quote someone without their written consent and a blood sample. 😆

Whew! Thanks Frogger for finding and put that on… its quite a bit of a read… makes me wonder huh! If two men in a consentual relationship doesn’t hurt anyone else and compare it to King David who had an affair with a married woman and manage to get her Hushband out in the war who got killed and he ended up keeping his wife… the baby died not because of his sin, but because he would have been “half and half” and suffered… sigh… and he lived? God allowed it? Or was it part of King David’s realisation that God forgives? It was intersting what Johnathan’s father did say and how he blamed the mother for the way the son turned out! Whew! That really blew my mind a bit. Smile.

well this is a very very interesting topic. I have been going through this myself for a while now. I have been grappling with many issues between church doctrine and what the bible says, and even in that what the original language says about many issues the church deals with today and the churches response and doctrine on those issues, not just sexuality.

I am seeing there are many things the church teaches in general that are cultural and not scriptural, then some things that are said to be scriptural are interpreted in a certain way when brought over to english and not necessarily the best interpretation when looking at the original language, so i am currently seriously questining the church right now. Not necessarily all negative tho but yes there are definitely things i see are not as they shoudl be from a scriptural arena.

hmmmm yeah it kind of throws a different slant or perspective on life… for me I feel a bit annoyed that well meaning people have done more damage than good via their ignorances.

The saying goes that “you only hear what you want to hear” and its interesting to see if a doctrine can effectively block out a true analysical approach to one’s own understanding of the bible.

Should be interesting.
