Victoria is the rogue child of the Baptist Union of Australia. We’re seen as stinking liberal lefty hippies most of the time!! Every time Rod Benson and his cronies post something like this, there a collective cry of discontent from the Vics – even from those who agree with him. It’s a Baptist principle that no one person can speak for the collective, hence major decisions are made by the congregations, not the pastors that lead them.

In my area, I can name 8-10 Baptist pastors that would be affirming. Who knows how many more are out there?!
