I know I was being impatient and watched the movie before the meeting. I would have waited till the meeting if I don't have any exams near that date. The movie was such an inspiration and relates a bit to me. What I get out from the movie was that it's a story of her coming out but what wasn't addressed was that she was afraid to be gay and seems to think it's wrong but then she's fine with the concept after she came out. During that process, what made her to come to terms that the gay christian thing is fine? Cuz she prayed to God to take it away from her before she came out, so she knows that it's wrong, as in what change her to view that the concept is acceptable to God? or what was her thoughts?


I hope my question makes sense and would appreciate your insights.

I haven't seen the film so can't help with your questions.

I do like Chely Wright though and was impressed when I saw the interview with Oprah and the way her father was so gracious in his acceptance of his daughter's sexuality. He said something about knowing the truth of who his daughter was as a good person more than he knew or understood the truth of the bible. He encouraged other Christian parents to open their hearts to their gay children. I found it very moving.
