Hi,

I've been raised up in a protestant background church and attended Hillsong and liked it but would like to check out other churches that accept the LGBT community. I've heard of mcc and uniting church. Are there any other churches out there? Which church would be similar to a Hillsong kind of service that is quite modern instead of traditional services?

Thank you very much.

Cheers,

Hi Hungryli,

I go to a uniting church in Sydney which is gay friendly and very welcoming of all people – however, in terms of its similarity to Hillsong – it is nothing like this.

I suspect you might find an MCC church more like Hillsong.

Good luck with the search!

I found this one through Facebook and it is just starting I think. If you look through the links etc I think it has great potential.

Lol, they may not even be having services yet… there is always CraveMCC too. I think there are churches under support>faith&religion on this site 🙂 Blessings!

Hi, Not sure if you are still looking, but you have Crave MCC. While it is an MCC church it is more contemporary and has great worship… we even sometimes sing some hillsong songs. It would be great to see you some time.
