A conference opportunity for those interested in LGBT health and wellbeing issues;

Health in Difference is a unique forum for those interested in health issues relating to sexuality, sex and gender diversity to gather and share knowledge, practice, research, policy and advocacy concerns and strategies as well as to network, listen, learn and laugh.

Health in Difference aims to “do diversity”. This means bringing together the rich diversity within “LGBTI communities” and others who work with them, proactively including the diversity of LGBTI issues, and using our collective insights to make a contribution to the health and wellbeing of sexuality, sex and gender diverse people.

great conference……I presented a workshop at the last one in 2007…..and will be again at this one.

I this is an area of interest to you then get there…….the only time you will get so many people working in these areas together in one place…….and as you see it doesn’t happen every year or even every two years.

Hi all,

Following on from this conference that Anthony attended last year, he has been recognised with a “participants choice” award for the most popular presentation in the stream Community: the Changing Natures of Our Relationships for his presentation β€œAn emerging group in the LGBTI community: People with faith and religion, issues they face and their specific needs”

Congratulations to Anthony for this award! An important recognition of the work being done for LGBTI people of faith and the role freedom2b[e] has in this work.

You can see more details of other winners and the announcement on National LGBTI Health Alliance website http://www.lgbthealth.org.au/health-in-difference-2010
