a long story mine is lol but in short i guess i had gay feelings since highschool but growing up in a religious and conservative country home well you know the drill it is wrong, evil, unacceptable etc. I gave my heart to the Lord a month before i got married (did not know before hand you could have a personal relationship with the Creator of the Universe). Stayed faithful to her and just subdued any and all gay feelings i ever had, after all they are evil right ?? Bur seriously i believe in monogamy, faithfulness and trust and that is what i did. Unfortunatly those feelings were not recipricated and the marriage ended four children later. I have been divorced and single for more than a decade now. I remained with God all that time and infact use to be in “ministry” until 2 years ago. I resigned for issues other than sexuality. In fact it has only been the last 2 years that i have even contemplated allowing myself to look down this sexuality road even tho it has always been there just under the surface. Finally this year i accepted within myself i am gay and it felt so right. My relationship with God has not been that good the last 2 years because of another issue that i had endured but since finding sites like this one and a few others i have come to realise with great joy that God and gay do mix. It has been great for my reconciliation with God. I now feel alive again in God and my relationship is getting back on track. I still have a ways to go in things, i have come ‘out’ to some family members and friends but none of my christian ones as yet. That will be a big hurdle. But for me the road is there to travel and i intend to keep going and even enjoy it. At age 40 there is still much for me to accomplish. I have returned to full time study and being the primary care giver to my children i am indeed busy. Morality is a seperate choice to sexuality and now that i realise i can have God and be gay too i am finding i am making more choices of morality all the time. Well people have a good day and i trust your challenging journey will have many happy times. Just be assured God and gay do mix.
