Last year Perth chapter of freedom2b invited Bill Loader to be guest speaker. Bill is the leading world expert on New Testament understandings of sexuality, including homosexuality. We found his presentation helpful and informative.

In April this year Bill spoke on the same topic at a national conference for lay preachers in the Uniting Church. His presentation was recorded and is now available on You Tube. You can watch it on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XHN7v54bGzQ

The presentation goes for about 2 hours, so set aside time to watch it. In it Bill gives background on attitudes to homosexuality in New Testament times and also deals with all the "clobber" passages that are usually used against LGBTI people. In the end he suggests ways we can interpret these passages today.
