Wouldn’t it be great to have an evangelical accepting loving gay friendly church in Brisbane?

I guess you could always start one yourself davidt?

It would be even better to have one on the Sunshine Coast, but I doubt that anyone would come to it. I know attempts have been made, to start gay Christian groups up here without a lot of success.

Also, there is MCC in Brisbane. They meet at 10am & 7pm @ Cowlishaw House 37 Cordelia St, South Brisbane

>> Baptist from childhood, on on past teens;

>> then AOG (briefly Sydney CLS – now incorporated into Hillsong, followed by many years in one of their plants);

>> then for the last 3 or so years back to my roots with the Baptists (which feels like putting on a pair of comfy old slippers . . . . although I do miss some aspects of AOG, but happy to be away from others aspects).

I was a member of the baptist church way back in the 70s and have often thought of going back to that denomination. My main worry, I suppose is in establishing relationships in a church without being out…

I have felt so free and alive since coming out that the thought of going back to hiding who I really am is about as appealing as squishing my foot into a shoe two sizes too small.

Still the desire to be in church is strong in those moments when it hits me. I guess it is a quandary I will have to continue to grapple with.
