I am just rapped about the church that I am now attending, Blackwood Uniting Church, South Australia, in the southern suburbs of Adelaide. We have a minister there who is really cool , Rev Leanne Jenski, who is a lesbian and a very fine minister, and a guy who is married and straight but very accepting of course, Rev Ian Hunter. The church has as part of its mission statement to be inclusive. After much tragedy and sole searching and looking for a supportive group of Christians, it is finally fantastic to feel “at home” again, and being blessed by the Lord.
This is a new topic, but I have already posted about my experience at this church. It is the church I grew up in and left for quite a while, got married, separated, came out, gone through a “wilderness” experience, and finally found a church, my old church, that is accepting. Have talked to the minister there, Leanne, and she gave me the go ahead to plug the church on this site. So here it is. Anyone living in Adelaide, this may be the place you are looking for.
