I have found an excellent site called ‘Bridges-across’ that aims to ‘provide models and resources for building respectful relationships among those who disagree about moral issues surrounding homosexuality, bisexuality and gender variance.”

The address is http://www.bridges-across.org/ba/index.htm. I found it when I was searching for information concerning Tony Campolo and his wife Peggy. I was told by a friend that Tony is opposed to homosexuality being OK and his wife Peggy is opposed to the opposition against homosexuals being able to live their lives as they choose and in peace. Their message can be found at http://www.bridges-across.org/ba/campolo.htm.

I have been reading heaps from this site and haven’t even scratched the surface yet, so if you are interested in getting a lot of information from both sides then this is the site for you.

Thanks Cairo D The Campolo discussion is very interesting and interesting still, that as a couple they can believe so differently shock but its awesome that Peggy is standing up for us. wink

thanks Cairo…….it is a good model isn’t it. It provides a space for everyone who wants to honestly and respectfully explore the issues.

I’m not sure if you know how to download that on your computer……….if you do you can put it on CD’s or share it more around the net as well.

Thanks Anthony. I have downloaded it and will burn to a CD. I already have several people in mind to offer it to. I will let you know their reactions. Is there some way that you could highlight this particular message on your own site?


I didn’t get the reaction I was hoping for when I lent your book to a friend whose both sons are gay. In fact I was warned that I was in danger of being deceived. I haven’t quite worked out if that means I am going to lose my salvation or not? I will be hesitant to share with her again.


This attitude is the very reason I am trying to find ways to break down the strongholds in the minds of otherwise very nice Christians.

You’ll find the interviews quite lengthy so they won’t fit on one CD…..but it sounds like you are quite internet savvy.


Shame about the negative responce to my book. Did i ever send you the paper I presented at the Baptist Conference on Gay Christians – The Gentiles of the 21st Century. In that doc i speak about sexual diverstiy acceptance index. its a helpful model to see where people are at and the next step for change.
