Ipete,

Thanx for your posting i relate to you so much as it was my experience as well except i was a Pastor and had 3 churches so me coming out would have been spiritual suicide.

I have been out since 2006 now and am happy about my sexuality and have sorted out the God stuff and have such a healthy understanding of who i am, What God thinks of me, what he has for me, unconditional love and acceptance as a believer and gay.

Are you here in Perth or Eastern States?

Ever want to chat don’t hesitate to get in touch with me.

Cheers

I can relate to much of what you have said…AoG background in New Zealand , gone through the deliverance, repenting, everything you can imagine.

I have questioned my worth in God and been suicidal and a self harmer. Thanks mainly to F2B I am past most of that, no longer suicidal or cutting, and know I am worth everything to our Creator. It took hours of studying the “clobber” passages and other texts too (don’t ask me what, I can’t remember now), to get the full counsel of God( dess to those who relate that way).. I still have my “shaky” times, but I am always brought back to the Creator’s love for me.

I just had to kept asking and praying for guidance and to cast out doubt and fear. Love is the opposite of fear 🙂

I am praying for you brother 🙂

Hi Maryanne,

you have also come through troubled waters…and you’re sailing free now. I think you’re extremely brave, and commend you on coming this far on your journey.

May you grow more in confidence and freedom….and always know the love of God for you is beyond your imagination.

I’m glad to have you as a friend, and look forward to our meeting 😉

Suzee 🙂

Hi Forestgrey,

It was good to meet you as well and enjoyed the meeting and socialising afterwards. It was great to be able to meet people in person and would recommend anyone that has never been to a chapter meeting to go. To me meeting people in person just adds that bit more to the forum and the journey.

Thanks for the link to the info, Ive been away up the coast so will have a look at it.

I hope to be able to make it to the dinner on the 2nd will have to check my finnish times when I get back to work.

Thanks

Hi Freeme,

Thanks for reading my story. I understand as a Pastor that it would be more difficult .. Its so good and encouraging that you have sorted it all out. Im still working on it and understand it takes time. As Suzee said to me in an earlier post that there is no rush.

I like reading peoples stories on here and can relate so much to them. To me it shows peoples love and commitment to God to the extent that we put ourselves through it all. I never used to think that at the time but sitting back now and reading peoples stories and journey it says a great deal about those two words, love and commitment. Even though it seems to go sour for a while somehow it seems to turn around but takes time. Im on that turning point and just have to get my head around it all.

I live in Sydney, go the Swans!!! Maybe one day it would be good to have one big meeting so all on here not matter where we live can meet and get to know each other in person…

Thanks

Hi Suzee,

Yes i am feeling more positive about things and found meeting people at the chapter meeting helped a lot so recommend everyone to go.

I like looking up the history just to get a better understanding of the time, the people and the situation those scriptures were written in, Its a totally different world from what Ive looked up so far. While I was away I also listened to A life of Unlearning, great book. When I read books I tend to be a bit of a mono tone reader but listening to it being read you could hear the emotion and could feel and live what was going on. So highly recommend listening to it.

Thanks and will keep you posted

Hi Sophia,

Thanks for reading my story, we all have a story and the great thing I have found about this site is we can all relate to each others story, support and encourage. Since I have been on here and going to a chapter meeting Ive found nothing but encouragement, support, love and acceptance.

I like how you said I am always brought back to the creators love….to me thats says he will never let us go.

Thanks

ipete – G’day!

It’s really great that you have found so much encouragement through the Forum and attending Sydney Chapter.

But, do you realize that just by your postings, you are now helping and encouraging others.

May we all continue to help each other on “the journey”.

Cheers
