Hey Craig,

I will reply to your post, the argument against the inclusiveness of all religions towards salvation is a great one but its complex and I dont have the time to do it justice right now.

Also, if you wuld like to bring up a point from any of my previous posts with me please email me at [email protected]

would someone with some spare time on their hands please do a search of Koorong using the words homosexulity, homosexual and gay. Compile a list of the books. note which ones are

1. pro

2. anti

3. downright dangerous

eg. The Gay Agenda

http://orders.koorong.com.au/search/details.jhtml?code=0892215828

Scary sensentional, fear mungering book that proposes a hidden conspiracy to destroy marriage and make children gay.

Parent’s Guide To Preventing Homosexuality

http://orders.koorong.com.au/search/details.jhtml?code=0830823794

i think the title says it all dont you.

it would be important for us in the future to be able to speak factually about thier current selection.

Anthony that is a good idea… I linked in on Jannah’s response from Koorong and I thought – actually I better not say it, I was stunned at the titles… oh boy! I thought it was ok until I saw these titles and I thought… hmmmm anyone gets their hands on it… lets just pray that they are not gay, just confused about their orientation and get it sorted out by those books… those books are scary. Not all of them… smile…

Can we all look at it and raise another discussion or use existing ones… and volunteer to get that one book and read it and talk about it and write a short review with a lable of pro, anti and dangerous… the dangerous ones are the ones we need to ask them to remove.

Smile.

thats not a bad idea either Graig. I’ve nearly finished the Gay Agenda. I think this book is downright dangerous. it is full of misinformation and written in style that doesn’t produce love or comapssion for homosexuals as the author occaisonally mentions he is trying to do.

As I was reading it i keep wondering….does this guy actually know any gay or lesbian people? I actually dont know the people he is talking about.

its frigtening to think that other christians will be reading this and will not encourage them to have contact or reach out to our community but would only reinforced them to treat each one of us with fear and suspicion. accourding to the author we have an agenda to break down the fabric of society by encouraging marriage to several people at once, inanimate objects and even animals, place people in strategic positions in the press, politics, education and the law with the ulitimate goal of converting young people to the ‘homosexual lifestyle’ ……whatever that is.

Hmmmm I started compiling the list of books with the Author from Koorong… I did it in the early hours of the morning and please remind me to go to bed… because I can’t find that document… I was half asleep and I finally got it all on the list… copying and pasting, and researching the year of publications so forth… was going to put it into the post so everyone can see but its somewhere imbedded in this laptop… for all I know I gave it a file name of Zoolology (yeah i even checked that too)… I was going to put my name next to one of the book to read and give my verdict… and perhaps a second person read it and we can talk and come with a final verdict of the book.

There’s a few books which I saw thought could be good… that’s only the cover… smile

Thanks

Craig.

The Facts on Homosexuality

http://orders.koorong.com.au/search/details.jhtml?code=0736911065

Considering this book is based on so-called ‘facts’ I’d call it downright dangerous. Very one-sided anti-gay…frequent comparisons to ‘rapist’ & ‘pedophile’ lifestyles.

When Homosexuality Hits Home

http://orders.koorong.com.au/search/details.jhtml?code=0736912010

Portrays the families of homosexuals to be the real victims…Anti.

Homesexuality: A new Christian Ethic

I bought this from Koorong but can’t find the link on their site…Undecided

101 frequently asked questions about homosexuality

http://orders.koorong.com.au/search/details.jhtml?code=0736914706

Sugar coated answers to appear loving and concerned for the ‘homosexual’…I dunno maybe he is but it’s still Anti by all means.

The New Testament and Homosexuality

http://orders.koorong.com.au/search/details.jhtml?code=0800618548

Some good reading but I havn’t finished it…Undecided

Hope this helps for a start

Always beats me how anyone could compare a homosexual to a rapist or a paedophile………Most paeophiles are actually heterosexual and at the most married and sadly have been victims of abuse themselves and thus the viscious circle continues………As in rapists??? give me a break. roll

I guess most people see homosexuality as “sex driven” when it actually isnt for the majority. I know that men can be more sexually driven than women but even so a sexually driven person is just that, sex and more sex and no thought for love, only gratification. As a lesbian my first attraction is to personality and mind and the rest just comes with that as an outworking of intimacy and love (gee that sounds technical lol). Im not in to get my rocks off so to speak shock

There is another book and I will try and find the link to, its called “out of Egypt” one womans journey out of lesbianism. It was given to me as suggested reading but I never read it lol, only the short story about the Author from Exodus International. It was in an ex-gay package I was given that I still have somewhere.
