So i don’t go on about how bad i am. I feel good….I think i live a good life….I cant even litter and not get stopped by my conscience. If I step out of integrity I feel physically ill and become weak.

I can relate to the feeling ill if you step out of integrity, Anthony. I even feel bad if I discover that I have unwittingly said something that is untrue, or if if find out that something I said or did has hurt someone.

Yet there are those who would tell me that because I am in a same-sex relationship that my conscience is seared due to my ‘wilful’ disobedience.

That’s the one I have never understood, when I know that my conscience not only functions, but often functions above and beyond where it needs to. ๐Ÿ™‚

I find it interesting whats happened…..as i find my conscience these days super sensitised in some areas……..there are others that caused me torment that i dont give a second thought to today.

what is that verse of Pauls that says whatever is sin to that person is sin. I wonder if that applies here.

Sureeeee thats what they all say! By revelation so it can’t be validated ๐Ÿ˜† It probabaly has a better everyday application though, I probably stand still for five minuites a day, when I am in the line at the supermarket. But this stays between us, dont post it on the public forum ok? We wouldn’t want it catching on ๐Ÿ˜†

Found it….the verse i was particularly thinking of in this context is v14

Romans 14

The Danger of Criticism

1 Accept other believers who are weak in faith, and donโ€™t argue with them about what they think is right or wrong. 2 For instance, one person believes itโ€™s all right to eat anything. But another believer with a sensitive conscience will eat only vegetables. 3 Those who feel free to eat anything must not look down on those who donโ€™t. And those who donโ€™t eat certain foods must not condemn those who do, for God has accepted them. 4 Who are you to condemn someone elseโ€™s servants? They are responsible to the Lord, so let him judge whether they are right or wrong. And with the Lordโ€™s help, they will do what is right and will receive his approval.

5 In the same way, some think one day is more holy than another day, while others think every day is alike. You should each be fully convinced that whichever day you choose is acceptable. 6 Those who worship the Lord on a special day do it to honor him. Those who eat any kind of food do so to honor the Lord, since they give thanks to God before eating. And those who refuse to eat certain foods also want to please the Lord and give thanks to God. 7 For we donโ€™t live for ourselves or die for ourselves. 8 If we live, itโ€™s to honor the Lord. And if we die, itโ€™s to honor the Lord. So whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. 9 Christ died and rose again for this very purposeโ€”to be Lord both of the living and of the dead.

10 So why do you condemn another believer[a]? Why do you look down on another believer? Remember, we will all stand before the judgment seat of God. 11 For the Scriptures say,

โ€œโ€˜As surely as I live,โ€™ says the Lord,

โ€˜every knee will bend to me,

and every tongue will confess and give praise to God.โ€™โ€

12 Yes, each of us will give a personal account to God. 13 So letโ€™s stop condemning each other. Decide instead to live in such a way that you will not cause another believer to stumble and fall.

14 I know and am convinced on the authority of the Lord Jesus that no food, in and of itself, is wrong to eat. But if someone believes it is wrong, then for that person it is wrong.

I think that is not an uncommon problem for all of us Sandy. thats why the words be still and know that I am God are so beautiful.
