Forgive me, but I might leave you guys to debate this one among yourselves seeing as I am quite comfortable not needing to know the particulars of gay male sexual activity. I had to laugh at the peg in holes thing though, gee they go out of their way to make it sound so sexy a romantic don’t they? 😆 😆

I would argue that our sexual preferances can and do change as we learn more about ourselves, grow older, get new partners and are exposed to different practises. Just like we often look back on our fashion choices and say “what was I thinking?!” the same, I believe, can sometimes be said for sexual preferances. In short, we are allowed room to change our minds.

I just dug out an old journal of mine, that dates back to 1995…Oh my Goodness!

It’s so funny and also a little cringe-worthy reading back over my life back when I was so immersed in the AOG and some of the things I wrote.

Heavens to Betsy, if the me of yesterday met the me of today we’d get into a debate in nothing flat! 😆 😆 😆

Blessings,

Hi MagzDragon,

I can so relate to this as I dug an old study bible out a while back (I have kept all my bibles) and I saw a fairly long note that I’d pasted inside the entire front cover. I did cringe at my attitudes then – I’d hate to think what would happen if the Christian me of then met the me of now – hoo boy – the old me prolly wouldn’t have anything to do with the current me. Sad in a way but its all a journey and its all about the many little steps we take that form who we are now.

So interesting to read of your desire to enter the ministry as I did too and I spent a year at bible college of the denomination I was attending at the time (Apostolic – similar to AOG). I dunno what I would do now – I have thought about being an interfaith minister – I’d like to see bridges built between religions instead of walls. It saddens and angers me to some point like when I hear like a Muslim soccer team wont play a gay soccer team – its senseless – we are all people – divisions make us less than human. Anyway I realise I am getting quite passionate here. 😆

I loved reading of your desires and aspirations plus the adventures along the way 😀

Blessed be.

It’s always interesting to look back at the journey, where we have been, where we are, and even try to see perhaps where we might be in a year or two from now.

I am currently reading a great book: “Memoirs in Moving On” by Dorothy McRae-McMahon where she talks a lot about

always moving on–and the people in her life who have played a part in moving her one from one place to another, either physically or spiritually.

I think as long as we’re always moving on, and not moving back then that’s the important thing.

I’d be interested in finding out more about interfaith ministry, deafant, so now you’ve sparked me to ‘move on’ and google for interfaith ministry. 🙂

Hey MagzDragon,

I did google this sometime last year and it seems that most if not all of the training is in the USA so it means traveling and living there and graduating there for the duration of the course and there isn’t a guaranteed job since there is no denomination to give the graduate a job – sooo…. while its an excellent aspiration and a noble dream there are many practicalities need to be met along the way and once the course is finished its still a very new area. I really hope this area grows as we need it so badly in this divided world.

Peace and a long life.
