such good news Shan….so glad you’ve connected with us. I look forward to meeting you face to face.


When people are considering coming out to parents and family….I often suggest a letter. I actually have been coaching people in this area for some time now.


Even if you dont use the letter (most do though)……it helps give you a framework of what and how you’d like to say things.

I am always up for help or hints… I have an idea of what I want to say… But nothing is 100% certain…

about writing a letter to christian parents…..can someone please find the link to it if you can…..otherwise I’ll write it again…..bit busy ATM.

I’ve looked but can’t find it. Ben refers to a Coming out letter in his story but I can’t actually find the letter there. One of the other mod’s will probably know.

And for some reason I kept thinking June was like in 2011…. forgot that it was March so June would be only a few months away. 😛 lol, my sense of time is still slightly messed up.

IanJ: Thank you… And yes… I have certainly changed… Its quite freaky… I am experiencing a genuine happiness that I haven’t ever had before… And that is only after coming out to one person!

I just hope June comes around quick because I just want to get this done…


I am so nervous about this… And I am barely a paragraph in and already dreading Mom’s response… Thinking the two weeks away may be the best idea I ever had.

sounds good Shan….I think I will post a separate thread on writing a letter to parents and make it a post it in discussion so it doesn’t get lost. I’ve helped lots of people in this area…..so hopefully my insights and experience will be of value.
